Top Tips on buying a Cockatiel

Top Tips on buying your Cockatiel

  • Make sure the bird that your buying is over 8 weeks old.

  • Make sure the beak is inline (the top part inline with the bottom part).

  • Make sure it hasn't got any broken feathers.

  • Make sure it is healthy and strong.

  • If buying a younger Cockatiel, would advise you to see the parents (if they can be seen) so that it gives you some idea of how healthy they are (if the parents are healthy it is highly likely the chick is).

  • Some people advise you to buy birds that have been ringed but it is not essential.

Hope this is helpful,
