Tips on transporting your Cockatiel

• Put your Cockatiel in a enclosed box (you can buy travel boxes from a pet store) or cage.

• Make sure the box/cage is covered with a towel so it makes it dark inside the cage, this will make the bird go to sleep.

• If going on a long journey put some food in with the bird so it has something to eat on the journey.

• From my experience the tamer the cockatiel the more settled they will be in traveling. (A Cockatiel of mine has traveled from Hemel Hempstead to Derby and back without any problem, even tried to go to sleep for some of the journey)

• Make sure the box has some ventilation holes so the bird can breathe.
