What Other Animals Do Cockatiels Get On With?

Cockatiels are friendly animals and get on with many other birds and animals. Cockatiels and dogs can get along, it depends on the specific Cockatiel. Other birds and Cockatiels do get on but again it depends on the individual birds. When either the other bird on the Cockatiels have eggs there may be fights. Cockatiels are good in colonies with other birds such as Canaries, Budgies, Zebra Finches and any other finches.

Never put Cockatiels with Love Birds as Love Birds usually don't tolerate other bird species. (you can put Love Birds with Love Birds but no other species of bird). Cats are best to be kept away from Cockatiels as Cockatiels are small birds and cats are known to attack and kill cockatiels. Rabbits and Cockatiels can get along but it depends on the induvial cockatiel and the induvial rabbit.
